Amy Livingston, MA 
President

 

Amy has more than 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations in a variety of fields and locations around the world. In 1991, and at the age of 16, Amy began volunteering at a hospice serving men who were in the final stages of their battle with HIV/AIDS. This experience shaped Amy’s passion for and dedication to working on healthcare issues with vulnerable populations.

 

She has served as a professional staff member, consultant, member of the board of directors, graduate intern and volunteer in locations from Cape Town, South Africa to Paris, France to Washington D.C. and back to her home state of Colorado. These organizations include the South African Red Cross Society, Partners In Health, International Midwife Assistance, Colorado Pediatric Collaborative, Colorado Center for AIDS Research and AfricAid.
 

Amy holds an MA in International Development with a Certificate in Global Health Affairs from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a BA in International Affairs and French from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
 

Amy is married and delivered three healthy children, including twins, thanks to her access to comprehensive healthcare services, highly trained medical professionals and well-equipped healthcare facilities.

Marjorie Seawell, BSN, MSHA
Vice President

Marjorie Seawell is a former high risk labor and delivery nurse with volunteer experience in HIV/AIDS in Zambia, Kenya and Rwanda. She has worked with and supported the Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative as well as other international NGOs and philanthropies.

Eden Hankins, RN, MSN
Treasurer

Eden Hankins is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with more thatn 20 years of experience in healthcare. Her passion for reproductive rights began in college as a chief organizer for “Get Out the Vote” in Oregon in 1990, resulting in 85% college-aged turnout. READ MORE >

Kathryn (Katie) Wouk, PhD, MS, IBCLC
Secretary

Katie is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a PhD in maternal and child health from UNC, where she also trained to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  READ MORE >
