We work to prevent unintended pregnancy by ensuring people have access to comprehensive, evidence-based sexual and reproductive health resources.
Coloradans for Birth Control (CO4BC)
A Rapid Response Fund to Protect Our Right to Plan Our Families
Global Health Foundation is a founding partner of the Colorado Collaborative on Family Planning and Reproductive Health, which has developed a statewide strategy to expand access to affordable birth control methods and family planning services.
GHF believes family planning is a “best buy” investment to support girls and women in achieving health equity, building healthy families, reducing poverty, supporting youth health and development, furthering educational advancement and reaching economic self-sufficiency.
GHF launched Coloradans for Birth Control (CO4BC), a pooled and rapid response fund, to support our right to freely plan our families (when, how many or whether to have children) by removing barriers for Coloradans to access – and medical professionals to provide – affordable birth control methods and family planning services.
2018 GRANT PRIORITIES
Technology:
to link Coloradans to reproductive health resources and
to connect them with desired healthcare services.
Goal: $160,000
Training:
to ensure medical professionals can counsel and provide
affordable and long-acting reversible contraception (LARC): IUDs and implants.
Goal: $75,000
Supply:
to equip healthcare facilities with LARC devices.
Goal: $200,000
Transportation:
to eliminate geographic proximity as a barrier to access services.
Goal: $50,000
