OUR TEAM 

STAFF

Amy Livingston, MA 
Executive Director

 

Amy has more than 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations in a variety of fields and locations around the world. In 1991, and at the age of 16, Amy began volunteering at a hospice serving men who were in the final stages of their battle with HIV/AIDS. This experience shaped Amy’s passion for and dedication to working on healthcare issues with vulnerable populations.

 

She has served as a professional staff member, consultant, member of the board of directors, graduate intern and volunteer in locations from Cape Town, South Africa to Paris, France to Washington D.C. and back to her home state of Colorado. These organizations include the South African Red Cross Society, Partners In Health, International Midwife Assistance, Colorado Pediatric Collaborative, Colorado Center for AIDS Research and AfricAid.
 

Amy holds an MA in International Development with a Certificate in Global Health Affairs from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a BA in International Affairs and French from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
 

Amy is married and delivered three healthy children, including twins, thanks to her access to comprehensive healthcare services, highly trained medical professionals and well-equipped healthcare facilities.

Treasurer

Myra Park has more than 15 years of financial and strategic analysis experience in industries as varied as bonds, consulting and hospitality. She currently holds a position in the Financial Planning and Analysis department of a speciality insurance company.  READ MORE >

Kathryn Houk, MS
Secretary

Kathryn Houk is a Ph.D. candidate in the Maternal and Child Health Department at the University of North Carolina's Gillings School of Global Public Health. She holds an MS in Nutritional Science and Policy from Tufts University's Friedman School.  READ MORE > 

Liz O'Brien, MSW
Board Member 

Liz O'Brien has more than 30 years of experience in non-profit organizations, both within the U.S. and abroad. As the Executive Vice President for Partners for Democratic Change, she supervised domestic offices in New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. READ MORE >

Megan Ryan, MA, JD 
Board Member

Megan Ryan joined Goldstein, Borgen, Dardarian & Ho in August 2014.  Prior to joining GBDH, Megan worked as a Supervising Attorney and U.C. Berkeley Law School Lecturer for the East Bay Community Law Center in Berkeley, California. READ MORE > 

Eden Ware, RN, MSN
Board Member

Eden Ware is a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with more thatn 20 years of experience in healthcare. Her passion for reproductive rights began in college as a chief organizer for “Get Out the Vote” in Oregon in 1990, resulting in 85% college-aged turnout. READ MORE >

Global Health Foundation was founded and received its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in 2012.

 

We began operations in 2013 and launched our maternal and newborn health programs in 2014.
